Cavity Wall Damp-Proofing

Dampproofing the cavity side of walls serves to prevent water from being absorbed by the concrete masonry. Water reaches the face of the backup at mortar bridges or other obstructions of the cavity, which allow it to bridge across the cavity and run down the face of the backup wall. This causes water damage and can be avoided by proper application of dampproofing products, such as Mar-flex’s Moisture Block 361™ and DampFusion™.
