Concrete Control Joints

It’s not “if” poured walls will crack ... it’s “when”.   Marflex control joints let you manage the result.

The Marflex Control-Joint System is used to limit shrinkage cracking to pre-determined, non-critical areas of poured concrete walls.

When placed 10’ to 15’ apart in pre-planned locations (such as windows and beam pockets, or in areas that are already weakened), the “V” shaped, reusable plastic extrusions create vertical control joints on both sides of a foundation wall, putting you in control of where the cracks will occur.

Marflex Control Joints are:

  • Economical and reusable
  • Easy to install -- attach to the edge of any concrete forming system
  • Pre-punched for easy use with different types of forms
  • The perfect way to isolate shrinkage cracking and control “random” cracks

When combined with Marflex Waterstop Elastomeric Sealant and Fiberglass Fabric Reinforcement, the Marflex Control Joint System ensures structural stability and watertightness.

Marflex Control Joints are vailable in 4' and 5' lengths to fit 8”, 10” and 12” wall thickness, with a 2" mounting flange.
