Waterproofing systems are essential on any structure. Water from the environment seeps into foundations causing cracks and structural damage, waterproofing systems protect against this and the other devastating effects of water damage, including the growth of mold and mildew. Mar-flex achieves this with an innovative three step system. First, a waterproofing membrane seals the basement or foundation wall. This is a specially formulated spray coating designed to be highly impermeable to protect the walls from water damage. Then, a highly functional drainage board protects and insulates the foundation wall, protecting the membrane coating, while channeling water away from the foundation. Finally, a drainage tile is installed along the footer or foundation walls to channel water into the drainage system and transport it away from the structure. This comprehensive three step system eliminates water’s ability to penetrate the foundation walls of a structure, causing devastating damage and requiring costly repairs.
