The Marflex 3-Step Basement Waterproofing System

1. Professionally apply high-quality waterproofing membrane to a dry thickness of at least 60 mil. Not to be confused with Dampproofing, high-quality Waterproofing membrane is the first line of defense in sealing water out.

2. Based on soil and rock conditions, attach an appropriate drainage and insulation board to protect the membrane from backfill and hydrostatic pressure.

3. Apply drainage tile along the footer/foundation walls to channel water into the drainage system/sump pump to transport water away from the foundation.

Marflex 5000 basement waterproofing membrane is a tested and proven fortified, polymer-based, elastomeric asphalt emulsion membrane that can be applied over almost any clean, dry, sound substrate for maximum waterproofing.

Marflex 5000 is recommended for poured concrete or unit masonry construction for it's superior abilities to protect against water penetration, moisture and condensation that can contribute to mold.
